Nigel Hirst saxophones
Kayne Taylor won the Australian Popstars 2004 contest as a vocalist and his single reached #8 on the Australian charts. Kayne now performs regularly as a soloist on acoustic guitar as well as in a duo Totem. Kayne is currently recording an album of original songs under the banner Black Lion.
Diego Vanzella hails from Brazil where he previously worked as an international model. Now, fully immersed as a bass player extraordinaire he played in the house band for Songstars for 5 years as well as annual shows by Whirlwind Productions such as Twenty Seven, Rock n Roll Suicide, London Calling, California Dreaming.
Nigel Hirst plays saxophone as well as flute, piano, guitar, ukulele. Previously with the Queenstown Jazz Orchestra, the Queenstown Ukulele Orchestra, the Master Blasters and the Raglan Mudsharks, Nigel has also been the producer of events for 25 years, such as Starryeyed, Songstars and other Whirlwind productions. https://www.nima.co.nz/nigel-hirst
Mauricio Ackermann is the newest member of Flavour. He also moved from Brazil to New Zealand bringing his foreign percussive musical influences and inspirations with him and high harmony singing . He also plays with the Southern based original rock band the Killer Seas .
The Band plays a mix of material from funk to reggae , rock and pop to rhythm and blues including current crowd favourites guaranteeing a non stop, full, fun dance floor.
